The students are learning the rules and routines of second grade. They are doing a great job!

They are also experimenting with math and science tools, and reading new stories and writing new things. A day in second grade is a very, very busy day.

Welcome to 2nd Grade

Welcome to our classrooms! We have been very busy, getting the rooms all set up for the start of an exciting new school year. We can't wait to meet you!

We hope that you can come see us at Kaufman on Thursday, August 19 between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. Be sure to stop by both classrooms - your school supplies will be dropped off in your homeroom teacher's room but definitely visit your "switch" teacher, too. Our rooms are side-by-side and we are easy to find.

Mrs. Cordaway will teach Reading, Spelling, and Language Arts. Mrs. Carrell will teach Math, Science, and Social Studies.

Cupstacking Tournament

The cupstacking tournament was very exciting! Our teams did very well :)

Goodbye to Miss Posey

We said a sad goodbye to Miss Posey, who taught with us for several weeks. She is studying to be a teacher at Sam Houston State University, and we really enjoyed her, and her wonderful and fun lessons.
