The 2009-2010 School Year Has Started!

We had a great couple of days to start the year off. We have been busy learning about our new classrooms, routine, friends, and teachers. Here are some photos of the kids on either Day One or Day Two of second grade! It is going to be a wonderful year.

Your playground will be different and new to you this year! Our recess will be on the playground outside of the cafeteria - here is a picture of the second grade teachers on the playground equipment. Can you find Mrs. Cordaway and Mrs. Carrell?

Back to School 2009

Kaufman's principal, Mrs. Daw, surprised all of the teachers today with a kayak outing in The Woodlands! She told us to wear sunglasses and clothes that could get wet, and bring a towel. We didn't know what we were going to do until we got there. We had a very fun time. Meet the Teacher Night

Welcome to our classrooms! We have been very busy, getting the rooms all set up for the start of an exciting new school year. We can't wait to meet you!

We hope that you can come see us at Kaufman on Thursday, August 20 between 5:30 and 7:00 p.m. Be sure to stop by both classrooms - your school supplies will be dropped off in your homeroom teacher's room but definitely visit your "switch" teacher, too. Our rooms are side-by-side and we are easy to find.

Mrs. Cordaway will teach Reading, Spelling, and Language Arts. Mrs. Carrell will teach Math, Science, and Social Studies.
